X8E1 trials type charger loading top cover.

Very scarce item , these were used in the British trials program in the 1950’s. Prior to the adoption of the L1A1 as we know it now. Fitted with tabs at the rear as in the full length top cover. Ideal for top loading your rifle when only one mag is handy!
